Frequently Asked Questions » Artwork
01. Cool!! You're great at drawing! How did you get so good??
Practice, practice, practice. You hear that a lot, but that's because it's the truth. The more you work at something, the better you'll get at it. I also learn from studying other artist's work. I see something they're better at than me and I learn from them.
02. How long have you been drawing?
Ever since i was child, old enough to hold a pencil!
Lots of things. Big inspirations are my bf, friends and other artists.
05. Do you do your art mainly on the computer?
Yes. I find digital art to be a lot easier and more fun than traditional media, but that's not to say I can't do both. I just prefer the former.
06. Do you have a digital drawing tablet?
Nah ah! No... still saving for one!
07. What programs/materials do you use to draw/color your work?
I use Adobe Photoshop 7.0. For traditional media, generally regular colored pencils, Prismacolor colored pencils and Prismacolor markers.
08. Where can I get the materials you use?
You can purchase the computer programs from their respective creator's websites or your local computer/electronics store that carries them. The pencils and markers should be available at local or on-line art supply stores.
09. Do you take requests or art trades?
Nope.
10. Can I use your art for icons, avatars, character bios, or website graphics?
No. Please don't.
I would really rather that my artwork remain unique to my website. I do my art for myself, not for other people to pass off as their character because "it looks similar" or for someone to use to make their site pretty. You are free to save it to your computer or print it out to hang it on your wall, but please do not take it and use it for anything else.
11. Will you teach me how to draw?
As much as I would love to help every struggling artist out there, I just simply cannot. If you really need help, search the Internet. There are plenty of tutorials out there covering everything from sketches to CGs.
12. Tell me your secrets!
I'm afraid there are no "secrets" to drawing, only hard work and practice. It's an aquired skill. If you're looking for a way to flip a switch and suddenly be a great artist, you're dreaming.
13. Will you ever offer desktop wallpapers of your art?
Unfortunately, no. I know a lot of my art would make good wallpapers and that people want them...but it would require putting up large, high-quality images and that's just begging for it to be stolen, abused, and put on merchandise to be sold without my consent. It gets stolen enough as it is...
14. I've found someone stealing your art! What do I do?
Please
e-mail me with a link and a short description. If you decide to approach the thief yourself, please do it in a respectful manner and do not flame, insult, or otherwise harrass the person. Nine times out of ten that causes more problems than it solves.
